Starbucks response: Thanks so much for contacting us regarding newspapers in our Colorado Springs locations. Starbucks provides The New York Times and the area's local daily newspaper(s) for sale in its company-operated coffeehouses. Other local papers may occasionally be available in our coffeehouses at the district manager's discretion. Earlier this year, we realized there were multiple local papers available, in some cases up to seven, in several Colorado Springs area coffeehouses. To help make the coffeehouses less cluttered, we removed all newspapers except for The New York Times and the Colorado Springs Gazette. We regret any inconvenience this has caused to both our customers and the other newspapers involved. We will look into assisting the other newspapers by providing the publishers with landlord contacts at our retail locations to obtain approval for an outside rack for the newspapers' distribution outside of our coffeehouses. If you have any other questions or concerns, don't hesitate to call our Customer Relations department at (800) 23-LATTE. Or, email us from www.starbucks.com/customer/. Thank you again for contacting Starbucks, we really appreciate it. Best Regards, Traci J. Customer Relations Starbucks Coffee Company
I've sent a complaint to Starbucks, and will not visit ANY Starbuck's location, nor purchase any Starbuck's products (including those for my Tassimo beverage machine) until the CS Independent is once again available in all local Starbuck's locations.
