Jennifer, what is your source to back up your 2,000 gallons per pound of beef? Documentation I read state about 445 gallons per pound, which still seem like a lot, but 75% less than your claim. Just wondering.
Oh Staci6, I almost "liked" your post, but then the stinger at the end just ruined it for me. Please don't taint your praise with pettiness.
The waste company I use gives "points" for pounds of recyclables collected; perhaps you have a neighbor who does not fill their bin, who may be happy to share?
I think a part of the appeal is the "paradox of choice" (nod to author Barry Schwartz). They don't have 17 brands of peanut butter or salsa, just a small reliable variety. It is easy to go grab exactly what you want. Prices are decent. Employees are helpful and generally upbeat. Although it is a huge chain, they manage to keep a corner-store feel.
Sounds good to me!
