Re: “Gang Green

I'm all for positive solutions. I can't help but wondering, What are we fighting for? I know the basic answers like the earth, future, the ozone, our survival, etc.. It seems to me that if we target the source of the problems, like businesses, that makes the hazardous gas, materials, so forth. We wouldn't have to keep coming up with complicated solutions after solutions to try to "fix" everything. Stop supporting them. For some this might sound shocking or painful because we are so condition for the "better life". I will go as far to say that we all might have to suffer the destruction and downfall of this planet to see that some of the things we are supporting were wrong. This will be our "wake up call". For the people that doesn't believe in Science Fiction and all that "crap" sure is trying hard to make the world into one. Is Fort Carson trying to make the whole city of Colorado Springs only military? Sure was nothing in the article about the citizens of 2027 and how Fort Carson ideas will affect them. It was mainly things that only concern the base and the soldiers. Some of the "solutions" in the Fort Carson plan already exists. This artical was just a way to ease their information to the public without being to straightforward or taken literally. Ha! how ironic the military wants to help save the environment but continues to contribute in destroying it. Can't be good and evil at the same time. Either your one or the other. How far of a hole we the people dug ourselves into?!

Re: “Religion, made palatable

I can identify with what Mccarthy is talking about. These practices and others is exactly what turn me against these type of churches. I won't go into details but their tactics has to be question. I consider these churches to be fake and very hypocritical. I do believe there is something but my something doesn't have a label. It resides within me. I've seen plenty of things happen not to believe. Every religion has some form of truth to it, in the beginning. Like all things though it's been corrupt by human minds that wanted more than what it was supposed to accomphish. It's corrupt when human life is loss, other minds are brainwash, for power, for control, for money, for political sway, for anything that takes away from the common good. It really irritates the hell out of me when everyone justify their actions by using the Lords name in doing their dirty work. "It's alright because I was appointed by God" "God has lead me to tell you..." and my favorite "Your going to Hell". To the organizations that really, truly, are doing this from their hearts with no strings attached then keep doing what you are doing because it's really hard at being good. It's no good attacking at each other because people is going to believe, say, and do what they want. With that said a person has to use common sense, stop comparing, and using the brain the right way for the right causes. It's really about the individuals and knowing yourself and having balance. No religion is powerful, correct, or true over other religions. Try viewing it as many perspectives to lifes questions. Before the major religions were establish and force, people from around the world was recogonizing and acknowledging a supreme being and goddess for their creation. Just because they didn't call him "God", or "Jesus" did not mean they didn't know of him or her. Somehow they were inform before the Europeons came!

Re: “Targeting paradise

This is another "Power and Control" game. What will happen to the people that will not be bribe by money?. Expansion for what? To train people on how to kill, cause pain, destruction, taking things that doesn't belong to them. Now the people that likes life, have to worry about not getting shot, trespassing or arrested in what's supposed to be enjoyed by all. If thought about, Fort Carson is taking too much parks and land to expand their base. What's the real deal behind their project? It's stealing and I am a person that's oppose to the idea.
