Re: “Bach tries to rewrite Utilities history

Rick - at the Vanguard Schoolabout a month ago when the Mayor held a town hall meeting, a home owner in the area asked point blank if Bach supported eminent domain and taking away the homes in the area to open it to development and to tear down the Drake Power Plant. Bach said EMPHATICALLY NO!

Bach stated he would like to see the Sky Sox move to that area if Drake were ever closed but he did NOT say he was going o move to get rid of Drake. He KNOWS it will be expensive to the citizens and he is totally against that.

He also pointed out that the power plant is 70 years old and he did NOT want to put 560 million into that old of a facility which the scrubbers are NOW projected to cost. He is against the contract for the scrubber as there are companies who can do more with less and he wants city council to investigate those and NOT rush into hiring the scrubber designer.

He did point out that the scrubbers were supposed to remove 5 pollutants and now he is told they do only 1 so he is not for the scrubbers. BUT....he also knows that if the plant goes, taxes in the city will go up, electrical rates will go up and he is firmly against that.

JASON - LET'S HEAR YOUR SUPPOSED PROOF OR FACTS! Post them here and let us know how you know....until then, you don't know the difference between opinion and FACTS which can be proven. PUT UP OR SHUT UP!

Re: “Bach tries to rewrite Utilities history

Keegan - I LOVE the idea of kids being able to ask questions. Some parents do teach their kids about what is going on and they can come up with some great questions. I

have attended all but this last town hall and anyone present CAN ask questions! I attended the one previous to this last one at Vanguard School and EVERYOONE who had a question was able to ask and they got answered.

Where did you get the idea that you posted?? come on - you are NOT making sense!

Re: “Bach tries to rewrite Utilities history

Rose, Staci, Sick of Bach and Mr K. - Here is your chance!!

Please attend the Mayor's first Town Hall Meeting of 2013. It will take place: Tuesday February 19th, from 6:30 to 8:00pm at the Old Colorado City History Center (1 South 24th Street).

If you have questions for our Mayor, now is the time to ask them.

One good question to ask the mayor is why he requested a "No Solicitation
Zone" for Downtown only. Does he not care for all of the citizens in
Colorado Springs? And Rose, you can ask about the Drake Power Plant and post his reponse here for us all to read - thanks!!

Re: “Robber arrested while calling his mom

SSA has some really STUPID people working in ints agency and this supervisor is among the worst. She rivals the idiots in Congress like Hank Johnson who thought Guam was going to tip over and Joe Biden who always makes stupid statements. I wonder who their DNA came from? Apes? Monkeys? Kenya?
