Martin Drake Power Plant needs to be closed. It is an embarrassment to our city. The location next to downtown and a park named America The beautiful is a drag on the heart of the city. This Dirty Coal plant must be closed and a new plant opened next to Nixon. The area then could be redeveloped and offer more growth for the city. If the utilities have to be sold to a private company to make this happen, so be it.
Why don’t we outreach to the Mayor and Council. Closing it down is good for business, the environment and the city. I will gladly pay higher rates to make this happen.
Please Mr. Hazlehurst lead the fight. You are the only one who can build the momentum to accomplish this incredibly import endeavor.

Mr Milbank knows nothing about this race. Andrew Romanoff is not favored by the Washington Insiders or Wall Street. He has shown he is favored by the people of Colorado with the huge victory at the State Assembly. Colorado will be very proud to have him as our Senator for a very long time.

Oh please my beloved Colorado Springs don’t just take the best short term deal like you usually do. Just because the likes of HCA-HealthONE or other deep pocket out of Staters will dump a lot of upfront money at us we may miss a better long term solution.
Such as teaming with the University Of Colorado.
This could help make Colorado Springs a Medical Research and Training center. It may be less money now but it could change the Springs forever. Remember the story of Canon City being promised either the State Prison or Colorado State University. Their choice, the prison because it was more money sooner. Let us not make the decision only on today’s needs but on our future.
