Re: “Arabian slights

Matthew, You obviously don't speak for the rest of us who know what Real! middle eastern food tastes like. After reading your review, it doesn't take a reader long to wonder if you have some kind of personal vendetta against the Arabica. And my very next thought was... why didn't you bother to ask for a refund or tell the staff you were not happy with the service? Not only did these people provide you with good service, they also took the time to sit and visit with you. I have eaten at the Arabica many times as well as my out of town guest and they loved the food from Arabica. Just a few weeks ago there was a catered event at work from pita pit. I had never eaten their food before but I watched as each person took a bite of their sandwich said "yuck what is this?" and thew it in the trash. Since you mention Persian grill and heart of Jerusalem then I will tell you what I saw when I was there. The Persian grill is owned by Persians ,however they have Mexicans cooking all their food in the kitchen. When I went to heart of Jerusalem they were more interested in in talking on their cell phone then they were in customer service or taking my order. So no, its not just another middle eastern restaurant...In fact, I think all your negative publicity will back fire on you and they will be busier then ever. It seems to me that your palate has been spoiled by all the pre-made, frozen food that all the other restaurants serve and you cannot appreciate fresh, healthy, and authentic cooking when you taste it. julie
