"American rustic"? That sounds a lot like a glorified log cabin.
This is an opportunity to make a building that is a sculpture, one that soars and sweeps and provides views and overhangs and mimics the mountain's wind-swept majesty.
But hey, a log cabin will be nice, too.
You ignore the fact that the local nut job radical "republicans" rewarded Dougie with an appointed position. And sometimes, you are part of that cabal, so get off your high horse.
Ralph, I know that this isn't sports reporting; it's sports commentary. But in marketing, your column falls under the "putting lipstick on the pig" category. The loss of the affiliation with the Rockies, no matter how incompetent the management or disappointing the the team - will cost the Sky Sox at least 25% of their paying customers. And building a fan affinity for the Milwaukee Brewers is a long term and costly proposition - which may not be worth the effort, given the standard two year contract and decidedly luke- warm welcome from the Brewers.
In short, this is at best a serious financial challenge for the Elmores, and at worst, a sea of red ink, just the color that pig is wearing.
Richard Skorman is a better candidate than any of the bluenoses mentioned. Unfortunately, he is too much a reasonable moderate to win in this, God's Waiting Room for Retired Colonels.
So, a crackpot, a jackass and a homophobe walk into The local Republican Party headquarters...and all three are nominated for office.
Funny and sad at the same time.
Geez, Ralph. After all these years, you still don't know a damn thing about football.
Stick to something you (claim) to know, and I don't mean snarky remarks.
