I agree. This will never happen because the only mantra our local governments know is to take more money. Call it Empire building or simply a lazy approach to difficult situations. They've been unwise with the money they're already given, why give them more. Eventually, we'll vote in politicians who are willing to work, work together and make creative tough choices instead of threats and harassment of the people they serve. Stop sending us tax and spend proposals until you show us you can make sound decisions with what we've given ... our trust and money.
