Thank you, Indy, for helping to defeat this personhood amendment - again!
Thank you and well said! Perhaps through events like you mentioned, articles, and one day having strong government leaders on this subject, gays in the military will be a non issue.
Average guy, if all parents decided to vaccinate their kids to prevent disease, we won't have to pay for the doctors, medical treatments and funerals with our taxes just in case the parents can't afford the costs. Just another way to look at vaccines.
I really hope no one follows this person's advice on skin cancer. A quick search online or in a library will tell you how he is so wrong! I will continue to immediately have my skin precancerous lesions removed, wear sunscreen, and take my Vitamin D supplements! I don't want to live with open sores that continue to grow larger and deeper if they aren't removed. I'm not willing to chance having skin cancer when it is so easily cured with medicated creams and dry ice if caught early enough. I've seen skin cancer on my parents. People die from certain forms of skin cancer. My dad almost did when his cancer was removed. The cancer was one millimeter away from entering his brain.
Thank you very much for supporting local businesses! Perhaps in a future issue, you'll write about local online businesses that aren't like the online monopolies. Koffee Kompanions is a Colorado Springs online business since 1996. They offer Thinsulate Insulated beverage accessories that hold in heat or cold for hot and cold take-out cups (no more cardboard wraps), French presses, teapots, mugs, and ice-cream containers. Prices range from $7.75-$28.95 for unique gifts.
Re: “Spring Break with the Burros Oro & Nugget”
The 27-acre Western Museum of Mining & Industry is a hidden gem in Colorado Springs! It’s an interactive museum where you can browse or take a tour. If you miss a tour, ask the guide questions. The entire staff takes pride in the museum and wants you to have a great time.
You can pan for gold, watch huge working machines, or push a button to run a model. There are many historical photos with interesting and sometimes funny write-ups. In the library, you’ll find many books and comfortable seating.
Outside there are more huge machines, a Mine Reclamation Exhibit, and the Stamp Mill. Be sure to look for Oro and Nugget, the resident burros adopted from the Bureau Land Management’s Wild Horse and Burro Program. They may be in the red barn at the top of the hill or in the small shed nestled under large trees.
There are picnic tables to use.
We went for the first time with out of town friends. We will return with other guests!
