What a witty, fascinating and RIGHT ON (pardon the 60's reference) piece! Even though I have not partaken of the EVIL WEED myself, having known many who have I would say the educational and intelligence level is quitge high(pardon the pun) among those that do. Rich, this piece is so well done that it is on fire! Keep on cookin!
A great article by a journalist who has graduated from a top journalism school- one that has not needed a name change!
This was the most cogent an heartfelt, as well as accurate article I have read on the tragedy. As a former elementary school teacher, I am saddened by the mentality of fear that would not advocate for a ban on assault weaponry and adjunct ammunition clips. The NRA has proposed a panic-based solution that would further its aims of arms proliferation in this country. Shame on our society .
Rich, a truly accurate and bullseye take on the idiocy of Akin, Ryan and Romney-these people are insidious and dangerous and WILL NOT BE ELECTED! Romney is a vacillating snake in the grass !
Great article, Rich- from some of the comments, there are a lot of sad, vindictive people out there in your readership- fortunately for us, there are so many more that love and respect your work, and are glad you have the guts to say what you think!
I reallly think Ranger Rich is very politically astute- if the Republicans get in, many of us are contemplating a move to safe shores.
Re: “Magpul's next move”
I feel sad that the Colorado Springs area is populated by some many hateful and ignorant persons. This was one of the finest articles ever written on the subject and Mr. Tosches had the courage and facility to express what most of the people in this country feel. Perhaps the people who had such negative comments could plan a retreat to India or Tibet high on a mountaintop where fear and hate could be transformed into compassion for the children of Newtown and all of the others impacted by lack of gun control. Thank you, Mr. Tosches- you represent most of us.
