Eloquently put! I especially liked the Educational Trinity for I too believe it's not just the teachers job to educate my children. Education is so much more than simply sharing facts; teaching a kid to 'learn', to find the answer not just 'know' it, to believe that they are valued and have their own talents worth discovering. A teacher would and could be more successful if they didn't have to go it alone, similar to the Verizon network but with us parents providing the needed support and believing in them and our children. I pray President Obama does read this letter and takes to heart that it's the teachers that will have the greatest insight on current or new ways of evaluating success.
