The James Smith park - I think only 2 years old - has completely dead grass - nothing left to even water.
It's too bad they dropped the tapas idea. Downtown could use a good place like that.
I wish Bird Dog would open up a central location!
Thank you, J. Adrian, for not letting Mr. Paige bully you. There's a difference between giving someone a chance and handing over $200, 000 in taxpayer money to a citizen whose plan carries no accountabiliity.
This statement doesn't even make sense: A bad person can do less damage in a split-power system than a city manager can do in the current system.
The city manager can't do anything without Council's approval. Council can fire a city manager immediately, while getting rid of a bad mayor will take a recall which is an expensive, difficult, long process.
Re: “Deal-a-meal”
We're definitely a family who overspends (and always tips well on pre-discounted amounts!) when using groupons. We look at them as a way to splurge and get a little bit off the bill. We once spent $200 when using a $25 groupon so I'd say that restaurant was happy to have us! I do go back to places that are good and as someone else mentioned, they encourage me to try some local places that I might not have tried without a coupon.
