Re: “Proposition 105: GMOs

When will those of you wishing for less use of RR seeds be able to "walk and physically pull' weeds during the summer months? Yeah, thought so... You talk a good game, but very few of you will do what it takes to rid fields of weeds.

Putting an additional label on a food product will do little in the way of making the said food affordable. Does anyone really believe that the 90 million unemployed workers in the US are going to spend any income they have on "certified organic" food?

Re: “Dining at Carlos', gratitude for gay people's contributions, and the gun debate

"The 2nd amendment says "WELL REGULATED" The founding fathers failed to define that." And the second clause of the second amendment says "shall not be infringed", but I notice very few people have that figured out.

Secondly, there is no need for a background check for a job. I got my last job w/out even so much as an employment application being submitted.

Lastly, polls are good for whomever commissions them. I do not believe that anywhere near 90% of the US populace believes we should have "enhanced" background checks for the purchase of buying firearms. When a background check fails to stop the next shooting, who or what will be your bogeyman?

"Second, if Obama really was a socialist in the European mold, he would not have saved the auto industry. He would have nationalized it!"

No, Obama should have left them fail. That is what happens in a free market.

Re: “Bill Nye says Colorado fires worsened by global warming

"I can read graphs; and there’s a couple things you can’t really dispute: 16 of the last 17 years have been the hottest years on record — that’s just how it is."

Well let's go back 32 years, or 64 years, or 1000 years? I have an elder neighbor tell me 1936 was a hot year... There is no fooling Mother Nature!

Re: “Keystone XL project is one gigantic lie

At least I thank Mr Hightower for telling me that Allen West does in fact DRIVE a vehicle (unlike the Sec of Energy, Mr Chu). Secondly there are numerous other pipelines that traverse the US.

Re: “Problem of proportion

"Walter mistakenly had assumed that blacks charged with possession of crack cocaine were dealing drugs, so she didn't give them an opportunity for substance-abuse treatment.

It appears Judge Regina Walter has some bias of her own. Does one blame the "system" for that? It seems that Judge Regina Walter had her mind made up before any trial.
