I would have given them 5 stars a few weeks ago but then the menu change. I have visited Trinity since the opening and thought the concept and menu worked, once a few kinks were worked out. But now it seems the concept was tweaked and so has my opinion of Trinity. Gone are the stuffers and several vegetarian de-lites (so the wife is not too excited about going there anymore). The new menu is ok and the stuffers have been replaced by a collection of the new food cliche of 'sliders'. These small 'sandwiches' lack the excitement of their former selves. My buffalo slider with carmelized onions sounded great but the 3 little charred 'meat patties' were tasteless and dry, needless to say my friend was not inspired by the BLT sliders. He had the original sandwich from the menu 2 weeks prior and claimed it was the "the best blt ever!". At least they still have the beer selection.. Change is not always good, especially these changes..
You can't go wrong eating here. Was sad to see them move from the Westside..
How about actually making doing something? There are plenty of parking garages downtown. If you are recommending the Denver/Boulder model then make Tejon open only to bicycles and electric bus/trolley from Bijou to Colorado. Expand the outdoor dining and drinking areas. Everyone knows that the patio areas are packed during the summer months. Also get some Bcycle rental stands to promote some human powered transit..
The Gazette reporting false and inflammatory information and then not wanting to print and retraction or correction, really?! It appears that people of Colorado Springs are finally waking up and smelling the homeless camps and finding other news outlets (Independent attracting more advertisers from increased readership). The Gazette is nothing more than a local National Enquirer, remember that one. Hopefully we will be saying the same about the Gazette...
