Re: “Pension tensions

Here is a great plan.

Wall Street is winning this game. They have managed to get working class people to tear each other apart while they rip off retirement funds. The banks have profited from the disaster that they caused. They have already forced private retirement plans into the stock market and they won't be happy until they force public retirements into the market. Next they will come for Social Security. We can't have those working class folks exiting the workforce before they are dead.

Re: “Not-so-Easy Park

As an electrician, I have run across a similar issue when it comes to light bulbs. There are many people who think it makes more sense to change bulbs as they die rather than change them at the end of their expected life. The variable often left out is labor. The most expensive part of changing the batteries in these meters is the labor cost of someone going out to change the battery in only a couple of meters. Change them all at the end of their life expectancy and save us the labor cost.

Re: “2010 in the Springs: A year to remember

I enjoyed your article so much I shared with my grumpy old coworker. We both had a good laugh.

Re: “Code red

Welcome to the Libertarian Mecca.

A city this size should have municipal trash service. It is pretty hard to choose not to have your trash picked up when it is included in your utility bill.

When does the city get fined for all of the unmowed public spaces? Drive down Airport road and the city looks like a giant ghetto.

The people of this town are getting what they asked for; freedom. The freedom to have a car on blocks in your front yard. The freedom to allow trash to pile up in the garage. The freedom to watch your city become a wasteland.

Long live freedom.

Re: “Colorado's great debate

This might be funny if it wasn't so realistic.

Re: “Lamborn-buster?

I would vote for a shoe before I would vote for Doug Lamborn. He cares about pleasing "Club for Growth" and AIPAC. Having him in office is a 1.3 million dollar waste of money. He is typical of the everyone fits in a box mentality of politics. Conservatives believe 1,2,3 and everyone else is a Liberal. This two sided pigeon hole politics doesn't represent America but provides a nice distraction from the real issues that affect us all.
