the writer obviously does not "know" or understand the medium of watercolor. any waterbased media falls within that catagory, which includes acrylics used in an aqueous manner, watercolor pencils, watercolor crayons, almost anything that can be added to water and put on a paper-based substrate. hence, the ability to have vivid, vibrant color, startling transitions and exciting values. he and his two friends need to expand their exposure to this fine medium......it has been around thousands of years before oils were ever invented....... !
