Ralph,
I retract my previous statement, you are indeed correct about Broncos wrapping up West on Christmas Eve with a win and SD/Oak loss; my apologies. Just a KC fan trying to keep hope alive.
Ralph,
Your "set of circumstances where Denver could wrap up the AFC West on Christmas Eve" is incorrect. Denver would still have to beat the KC Chiefs on Jan 1st to win the West; that's why KC still barely alive as you state above. If that plays out, I may have to purchase a Kyle Orton KC jersey. Can you imagine the Tebow vs Orton hype next week if that game determines the West? Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
I agree CU should have been selected for the tournament, one of the biggest "snubs" I can remember. But how about Colorado's ONLY team to make the dance? The U Northern CO Bears are making their first appearance in the NCAA tourney and I'm surprised you failed to mention that fact anywhere in your column; especially due to the fact Tad Boyle was their head coach last year. I have no loyalties to either team, but today I'm a UNC fan.
I don't think either of Manitou Chef's comments warrant 5 stars. I agree a response was necessary for both, but why rate so highly? I guess it does bump up the overall rating of the restaurant.
The concept for a "Civic Center" sounds like a combination of our current Pikes Peak Center and World Arena. Both are outstanding facilities; I say better utilize what we have rather than fund new construction projects.
A nice story. I wonder how it would've ended if the Sheriff's Office had received the request from Ms Zubeck?
Hopefully either TCU or Boise St will be paired against OSU in a BCS Bowl; should generate a little interest.
Re: “Akasaka”
I totally agree with comments about Akasaka's food and service, but disagree about people spoiling it. I've eaten there many times and believe it to be the best place for the freshest sushi in Colo Spgs. I say everyone should give it a try and judge for themselves.
