Moved to Colorado Springs a few years ago. Retired, love the beauty and the trails, and kindness of the people in this city.
Why not expand service to nights and week-ends with part of this money? It sounds like the senators want to improve the transit service in our city.$4 million is a lot of money; my hope is that the city government will use the funds wisely and use common sense and think about what they are doing to this city.We need to improve routes and service before even thinking about a cute trolly running around the Springs.Molly
What is really troubling is the cut to Mass Transit. This city seems to cater to drivers. The $34 million dollar(aprox), bridge built over Austin Bluffs, was that really worth the price???? That is where some transportation dollars went. Now how are the peole that serve this community, working in restaurants, hotels, tourist shops, and students, people from all of the bases supposed to get to and from their locations. I thought Mass Transit was supposed to help the environment??? Now we are also losing FREX? Why not include Pueblo in FREX and ask the US Government for a grant??? Someone please tell me: WHAT IS GOING ON? We all can't afford new cars every year like the "powers that be." Have they ever relied on any other transportation? Oh, I have it. Let's go backwards, what a concept.
