For 2010 we need the Year of the American Gift.

Birthday and holiday gift buying in 2010 are wonderful opportunities to support the American economy and get our neighbors working again. American consumers are two-thirds of the US economy. Imagine the job creation in 2010 if Americans bought American artisan jewelry instead of imported gifts. A gift certificate for a favorite restaurant also keeps the dollars circulating in the USA. You get the idea.

Let’s make a New Year’s resolution together as a nation. A resolution that gets Americans back to work and grows our economy. Let’s all make 2010 the Year of the American Gift.
