I am actually sitting here amused at the posts that are here. What is most amusing is that the posts from XNA, are actually from Alex who is the Co-Owner of Mile High Saloon AKA Pitbulls bar. She co-owns the bar along with her father. There is some truth to all of the posts above, this bar IS very nice. The environment there is AWESOME with a very cozy atmosphere. However, unfortunatly Alex IS drunk, all the time. I have seen this multiple times. I have been coming to this bar for a long time and am a regular. I have also come to play poker on poker night. I was there for the Charity event that was held at Mile High. I also know who Mountain Peeps Movement is. I can tell you that it was unfortunate how the charity event was handled. The donations were collected by the performers, and there were donations firsthand. There was someone who knew the performers who showed up with a handful of coats. So saying there were no donations from the performers would be a false statement. The truth is that ALL of the donations with the exception of a few food items were donated from customers, performers, or persons there to see the show. There was no cover charge for those who brought donations, and I know this because I MADE A DONATION to get in for free. I MYSELF DONATED MORE THAN ONE OF MY COATS. There were also donations of childrens coats and toys. It seemed as though Alex was drunk this night, and she was going around the bar ranting and raving. What is worse is that by cancelling this event before 10pm, there was no opportunity to try to collect more donations. This bar is gradually going downhill, and if they do not become more professional, and gain a knowledge on how to properly promote their shows, and be more diverse they will fail. I would also like to note that none of the performers seemed "Gangster", they all were friendly and nice guys. When they have performed at Mile High Saloon in the past there have been NO problems, none of the music seems gang affiliated. And although I am typically not too into Hip Hop, some of them are pretty good. I actually was recently at Thunder & Buttons downtown (GREAT BAR BY THE WAY) and there was a Really good show with Mountain Peeps. There was a Live band and they were VERY good.
I was there for the Charity Concert that was on Friday December 11th. WHAT A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The "bartender/owner" was so busy running around yelling about her food and seeming VERY intoxicated that we did not even get service. It seemed as though this girl treats this more like her hang out spot rather than a business. I watched MANY customers leave due to this without receiving service. I wont ever go back. They should pay me for the gas that it cost to drive ALL the way to BFE to enjoy a nice charity show which THE OWNER SCREAMED THAT SHE CANCELLED.
