My name is Chuck and I was responsible for 1/2 of the Charity event. I had been hosting shows at this venue (Mile High Saloon) since Aug 21, 2008 and had a good time doing so as did the artists who performed here.
As far as the Charity event, I'll agree, it was a disaster. The only follow through on any of the action items where things I personally took care of. Promoting the event, Press Release to news and radio stations, setting up the Charities, Collecting donation items for the ticket drawings.
Myself as well as ALL artists donated many items. (Coats, Toys, Money and some donated their artist merchandise like shirts and CD's)
WE COLLECTED AT THE EVENT
$92 dollars (Mountain Peeps Matched) for $184 dollars total
56 Coats (2 of which were donated by Mile High Saloon)
2 Bags of toys
1 box of purses and like 8 pumkin pie mix (donated by Mile High Saloon)
Mountain Peeps (our music group) has done over 40 shows this year and has NEVER had an issue. Our reputation speaks for itself as many of our groups within Mountain Peeps opens regularly for Nation and Regional touring acts. (Most of which are always published here in the Independent)
For those of you who do know us and our music ... NOTHING GANSTER ABOUT US. We pride ourselves with the positive movement we are pushing through our music.
Apologies go out to those that witness the fallout and to my friends at Springs Poker Nights.
Thanks for your continuous support of Mountain Peeps Movement and the artists involved!
I would also like to thank Independent Records, JayP Es Window tint, USA Racquetball for their donations! KRDO NEWS 13 for providing coverage of the event.
Good luck to Alex aka (XNA) and Sparky, owners of Mile High Saloon.
Thanks for your time,
Mountain Peeps Movement
