Re: “Melcher seeks ways to make Utilities' cash flow for stormwater

OMG...what sleaze balls Bach and Melcher are. Bach can't make due on the overinflated promises that he made prior to his election...i.e. let's turn this city around...so now he wants yet something else from CSU to pull him up. Let's see...pay for stormwater projects, pay for decommissioning Drake (because it would be up to CSU to pay to decommission and tear down the facility, plus build on to Nixon and/or just build another plant), give the City a break on the water bills it faces, pay to keep the parks and medians green...and, oh by the way, don't even think of raising rates. Because if you do, he and Melcher will be on the bandwagon yet again about how mis-managed CSU is and how he (Bach) should take it over. How do these guys sleep at night? Don't even get me started on how wrong, wrong, wrong it is for City Council to sit as Utilities Board and how CSU attorneys report to and take direction from Melcher, which I think are both equally bad conflicts of interest. Wake up COS and bounce these guys!

Re: “Half-baked

We (my husband, sister, brother-in-law and I) have been dining at Ficco's at least once a week since New Year's Eve. Two of us are 100% Italian, one is Sicilian, and the other has been part of the Italian family for more than 40 years. We know Italian food, and Ficco's is excellent! No fancy airs, no attitudes - just wonderfully prepared homemade food. Mel and Nicole are warm, funny, caring hosts, who just want you to enjoy your meal. Pass the word about Ficco's - this is one restaurant that has to be kept in town for years to come.
