Re: “A Bible thumping

Andrew Wommack supports the Ugandan Bill to imprison Homosexual people. He does not preach love he preaches hate, distrust and fear. The location of his ministry will not be a positive relationship with Woodland Park UNLESS you support his teachings.
I do not dismiss people's opinion because they are any sort of popular religon but I WILL dismiss them for their ignorance.
Could you actually think someone can make you homosexual if you are hetrosexual? Can anyone be that stupid?

Re: “City PR head asked to resign

Although they are calling it her resignation she was asked to resign. So, Bach fired her pretty simple. Yes, it is an Bad Omen to the kind of leader he will be.
Typical knee-jerk reaction from someone who has only a KFC bucket of right-wings.

Re: “Change of Focus

In response to Change of Focus, The Daly Show.
I remember reading the pamphlets handed out to single pregnant women from Focus on the family and it stated how it is wrong to keep your child and not be married and the best thing to do for that child is to give it up for adoption. It also stated that a single mother will be less likely ever have a good relationship with a person who is not the child's father, so just give up that baby, and life will be better. When I received this pamphlet I decided it was an important piece of information that documents the hypocrisy that is known as focus on the family. Nothing they preach or say shocks me anymore.
I am however shocked and disappointed that The Independent would support anything Focus on the Family has to say or do. Really people? Just because they change a face doesn't mean they are any different than they were 5 years ago. They are out for their own agenda trying to control what we do, say, and feel.
OR maybe The Independent wishes organizations such as Focus would be decent and honorable and charitable towards people who do not share their sentiment.

Re: “Sex, lies and duct tape: Science and morality make for strange bedfellows in D-11

I remember at about age 12 I started my period. That day my parents were overjoyed and stated over and over you’re a woman now. If it weren’t my school who taught health classes which included Sex Ed I would have never known what was happening to me was normal. I feel Sex Ed is as important as Gym. Most children hit puberty and immediately are interested in sexual desires and actions it’s important to give them the tools to be safe. It is not the school's responsibility to be involved with the morality of the child.
Abstinence is a fear tactic that just doesn’t work.

Re: “Letters

@ Janet Brazill
I agree with you 100%.
I do feel D11 is pushing a christian agenda by allowing Education for a Lifetime or Aspire to talk about abstinence in the classrooms of our PUBLIC schools. I’m sorry teaching my children without my consent and in a public school that " its science rather than religion that shows "the benefits of marriage for all people." is a bunch if ignorant religious propaganda.
Sex education is needed in our public schools not religious rhetoric.
I do believe D11 have crossed the line by letting these religious quacks into our children’s classrooms and our children are at risk.
