This is such a bizarre event. I'm still trying to figure out what the point of it is other than attention-grabbing with no beneficial consequences.

Yup, I agree. And women should be able to be free to get drunk without concern about someone taking advantage of them and I should be able to leave my bike downtown unlocked without fear it will be stolen... but that's not the world we live in, is it? Doesn't make the wrongs right but simply pointing them out with gaudy protests doesn't change the world at all. It just looks silly.
And the photo accompanying the article is relevant because...? I read the article, waiting to find the part of the story the was in some small way related to the photo. Then I finished and I remembered: this paper is still just a middle school newspaper that hasn't matured into having any sort of journalistic responsibility or professionalism.
