Alive and barely tolerating this town
My goodness I am glad I moved away from this city. Let's not try to be civil. Oh no, that would defeat the purpose of your existence.
Wrong again Indy. You remind me of the Gazette. They print all kinds of letters no matter how many falsehoods they contain. Who cares about facts. If I hear something on a conservative radio it must be true. Yeah right. You are wrong and Ms Lytle is correct. I had to call and make sure I got a ballot as I did not bother to vote in the previous election because there was nothing to vote for and I did not want to waste the stamp. I was told it was a good thing I called to say I was active as they were not planning on sending me a ballot. It was a good decision to block Gessler's plan. And nonsense like that which prevent people from expressing their first amendment rights can never be allowed to happen here.
RYAN, RYAN, RYAN, You poor thing, you must have been born with your foot in your mouth. The editor's note is correct, I did have a letter posted earlier in October asking folks to stop listening to hateful speeches and talk in general. You probably really disliked that one as I imagine you are one who listens to Fox news and Rush all the time. Not correct? Well your nasty letter makes me think so.
But to go ballistic over Sarah Palin?? I can only imagine you have daily fantasies about being with her. Yes, I did have a letter published in March complaining about the city's treatment of our homeless. And years ago one was printed where I thanked those who take care of the gardens in the medians of our downtown streets. I bet that one just drove you nuts. Poor baby.
I can't remember which other one was printed years ago or what the topic was. I probably asked people to stop distorting facts and I bet you pounded your head on the wall for days about that one. Please note that the editors said I submitted about one a year in my 7 years here. Not all of them were printed. I think just 5. I look forward to driving you crazy some more if only I can think of a topic to really send you off into your delusional world! Maybe the importance of being honest and a person of integrity would suit your cup of tea.
Your Favorite Letter Writer,
Dear Mr. Penner,
I am aware of soup kitchens but you can not sleep there nor make your home there. And I have no children here who need babysitting or driving to school. But, yes, on occasion I have hired someone holding up a sign saying "will work for food" to do handywork at my house. As for the rest of your letter you assume that I forgot who runs the shelters and soup kitchens, I have not, but the fact remains that the those living in tents were forced off of public property and need a place to live. You were probably one of those students who always read into test questions too. Take my letter for what it said and do not make other assumptions about it.
