This article is not accurate at all, especially regarding a "third term". The interview with Maketa was recorded, and I have seen the transcript:
Zubeck: "So earlier you had expressed some reservation as to whether or not you would fulfill a third term should you be elected to one. Will you fulfill a third term should you be elected to one?
Maketa: "Yeah, that is my intention".
Zubeck: "Would you promise the voters you would?"
Maketa: "That is a tough decision to make a promise when I dont know what the future holds. I COULD HAVE FAMILY ISSUES COME UP, HEALTH ISSUES COME UP, but my intent is to seek a third term and commit to the voters that I fully intend to fulfill that third term. Will I make a promise? No. Because you never know what is over the horizon. You never know if a family member is going to become ILL, if I am going to have HEALTH ISSUES or whatever the case may be. BUT IT IS FULLY MY INTENTION.
Why was this quote cut and pasted to portray indecisiveness? There is obviously an agenda.
