To Mister Mxyzptlk: You are daft. Pigs and chickens aren't going extinct because we farm them. The biggest reason Watson and crew are doing what they are doing is because whalers are whaling endangered and protected species. And yes, they have been doing it for decades. The reason animals become protected is because their numbers are declining. Unlike pigs and chickens on our factory farms, which we breed, whale species only breed a certain amount of young every year. If we whale too much year after year, it doesn't give them time enough to replenish their numbers. The result is an endangered species. Which the Japanese whalers do not give a shite about.
