Over 2000 current and retired city employees rely on Memorial Health System for their care. (yes, we pay for it) I have not seen it mentioned anywhere about how this would change and how much the city employees would be paying for their healthcare. This is a huge issue for us but seems to have fallen on deaf ears because of the money the Council is seeing in their purse.
Given Maketa's credentials; he would not even qualify to be a sergeant for the CSPD much less run a shift, division or be a Deputy Chief. Guess I can see where my vote is going.
Re: “Post lays an endorsement egg”
This is of no surprise to anyone that has been here more that a couple of years. I am a native to Colorado Springs and have seen several examples of this over my time here. This not only applies to endorsements but also includes distribution of federal funding for roads, law enforcement, fire prevention, the arts, job growth.... etc. The list goes on. I would be willing to guess that 50 cents of every dollar that comes to Colorado stays in Denver and the rest gets distributed around the state purely as a token gesture.
