I fail to see what the difference is between liquor stores where alcohol is sold retail and bars where alcohol is consumed and dispensaries where cannabis is sold retail and cannabis clubs where cannabis is consumed. Someone care to explain this to me?
Am going to let my subscription run out as well. I have been a subscriber for 35 years ever since the bastards bought out the Colorado Springs Sun. The Gazette has become nothing but a print version of Fox "news". Adios Gazette.
Very glad to see that Paradox beat them. Paradox makes some really interesting and unusual beers - some sour, some not so sour, but all of them are very tasty. If this guy thinks the locals are too dumb for his beer, then maybe he does need to move to Denver. I'm sure there's way less competition up there anyway. Right. I drink beer because it tastes good, not because it won some stupid medal. I don't think this guy even gets that.

I believe that the "goats" referred to in this article are actually Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep, that came to be in the Waldo Canyon area after an accidental translocation in 1946. Apparently some bighorn sheep were being transported from Colorado's Western Slope to some other location, when the vehicle they were in broke down on Ute Pass near the parking lot of Waldo Canyon. Somehow the sheep escaped and have been reproducing for generations all over the Rampart Range and Waldo canyon areas. There is another fairly large herd in Mueller Park near Dome Rock and a smallish herd that I see frequently on the West side of Pikes Peak while driving between Divide and Cripple Creek on Highway 67. Not sure if the Pikes Peak and Dome Rock herds are from the same translocation or not.
Not sure what this lab rat campaign is all about. Are they saying that smoking pot is something new? And that young people are somehow lab rats for testing marijuana? If anyone is a lab rat it is we who have been smoking pot since the 1960's. With no ill effects. I'd say the testing is conclusive and complete. No one is being a "lab rat".
If you are a frequent driver up Ute Pass between Manitou and Cascade, there is an area near the Waldo Canyon parking lot between the Eastbound and Westbound lanes where Fountain Creek splits the highway where there are bushes upon bushes of chokecherries every year. If you can get them before the bears do, they are lush and delicious. Used to make jelly out of them all the time.
