I wish this would extend to all forms of solicitation. I have nothing against Greenpeace as an organization, but I tire of being pulled aside by a different starry-eyed volunteer three times a week.
Pre-renovation, Jorge's was one of my favorite places. Now, it's terrible. La Carreta is the place to be for great mexican food now.
The residents of El Paso County still pay 1% extra in sales tax for the PPRTA, 10% of which was to establish and expand fixed-route bus service to unincorporated areas of El Paso County, and was specifically NOT to be used to subsidize service to the City of Colorado Springs. Yet, that is exactly what happened in 2008 with Mountain Metro retracted service to the "urban core" of Colorado Springs. It doesn't matter if they are great in other areas if they cannot maintain even minimum service that they are REQUIRED to.
Yeah these people that draw people to the Downtown area, benefiting surrounding business many times over and generally contributing to the economic health of the community are are a black stain on the city and have to be stopped!
