Re: “'Why I don't vote,' Herpin's progress, labeling GMOs, and more

Mr. Nemanich: Barack Obama will most certainly "be punished" at the ballot box in a week and a half.

Re: “Indy writers, C4C, oil drilling, and more

Gina - your vehicle doesn't have a channel selector? Feel free to use it freely but don't even think about touching mine! Do you hear any "right wing whackos" calling for the idiots on MSNBC to be shut down? No, you don't because free speech means they get to spew whatever they want, too. I'll see your Savage and raise you an Ed Schultz.

Re: “The George Culpepper saga, Michael Merrifield's campaign, and more

Well said Jill Coleman. I suspect Mr. Merrifield is counting on everyone smoking a bunch of legal weed and forgetting about all that.

Re: “One aspect of Obamacare attracts a crowd

The "poorest of the poor" were already covered by Medicaid. All Obamacare has done is redefine "poor", resulting in hundreds of thousands more Americans lining up for something someone else is paying for.

Re: “The Waldo Waldo, Focus on the Family, the Air Force oath, and more

Sally, the "insanity" that the recent mass shooters have in common is....wait for it....LIBERALISM! EVERY, no exception, one of them self identified as a liberal/progressive. The "SANE" solution, therefore, is to outlaw liberal/progressive gun possession. Problem solved.

Re: “Colorado College catches heat for using touchy word

Here's a refreshing idea: hire the best qualified person. Period. Take all gender/sexual orientation stuff off all applications and let the candidate's experience and education speak for itself.

Re: “Saying no to Kum & Go, an idea for Palmer Lake, energy subsidies and more

Tracey Wright: We "entered into a new, ugly age of politics" locally in 2006 when two duly elected school board members were recalled at a steeper cost than this current recall is estimated to cost taxpayers. Those two board members had committed no crime. They hadn't broken any ethics rules. They were removed for "causing chaos". Pretty vague charge. Can't the same be said about Morse's diddling with the testifying procedure during the legislative process? (For what purpose? To gain national attention by having an out of state retired astronaut unlimited time to pontificate while Coloradans were limited to two minutes?) How many Coloradans were prevented from being heard because Mark Kelly absorbed so much time? Ironically, many of the heavy hitters involved in removing those two are deeply involved in keeping Morse in office today. Further irony, the recalled board members had a year remaining on THEIR terms too, recalled in 2006 when their terms expired in 2007. If my memory serves me correctly, John Morse contributed to the recall committee fund in 2006. Where I come from we call that hypocrisy.
