A city councilperson should not have to file an open records request to get information from the City. We elect them to have oversight over this City, and they should just be able to get the info they want. What is wrong with giving them information? The more they know, the better their decisions will be. The Mayor and his staff should rethink that policy.
I would like to know why Councilors Leigh and Bennett voted no. What part of the budget were they against?
This was a very disappointing event. Patrons everywhere were talking about the lack of Chili at the festival. We were expecting to try different Chilis, and yet there was only one vendor offering samples. Mostly it was just Denver Food Trucks (which had great food, don't get me wrong) that you paid premium prices for. So, you pay $5 to get in, then you have a bunch of food trucks and a couple other vendors. Why did we have to pay to get in? We kept feeling like we were missing something.
I wasn't the only one to feel this way - as I left there was a gentleman complaining up front about how this was a total misrepresentation and he was also expecting actual Chili.
Hmm, sounds like you should be upset with the dealer - they made the mistake.
That is an insane waste of money. It sounds like the clerk and recorder's budget is too high, or Bob Balink is a fool who doesn't have any fiscal responsibility. And he is the treasurer now? That really scares me.
Re: “Pizzeria Rustica”
I absolutely love Pizzeria Rustica. Their caprese salad is awesome, and I have never had a bad meal there. I particularily like the Salsicca pizza - it is to die for. Their service is great - last time I was there the general manager came out to say to our table himself. Great time all around.
