Re: “No drilling, for now, in the city

Colorado Springs government is hostile toward growth and an improved economy. Ask any contractor in town how regional building is in the way of any and all construction. Ask the people in Cascade how Sally Clark has stood between them and progress for years. Less government, term limits, and leaving us alone to be responsible for ourselves would be the best thing these clowns could do for themselves and us.

Re: “Slice of life

This trying to be a regular fellow degrades our leaders...and undermines the sense of decorum and dignity this community is already sorely lacking. We don't need anymore clowns, we need people of vision and stature.

The Chinook here died because Dick Noise was and still is a nasty human being...

Re: “49 jobs cut at Focus

Appeasement, which is what Jim Daley has attempted with the publisher of the Indy and everywhere else, being Mr. Nice, is what is costing him big dollars and will slowly kill this voice for Christian America, if he is not quickly replaced with someone who has a backbone.

Re: “St. George's may live in Syn

Now let's be fair to the old boy...it made sense for him to exchange the risk of a five week jury trial for the prosecutor’s offer to zero it out for a misdemeanor. I think any of us would take that option. And that offer would not have been made if there was any truth to all the allegations.

If St. George’s does make this purchase, it will be nice to have that historic building restored to its former purpose and beauty. Only a congregation committed to their traditional worship style would be interested in doing that, and for that matter have the money to do it.

And it sounds like the congregation again wants to contribute to the community. When Armstrong was at Grace, didn’t he host lots of speakers, events, and even the Symphony when it was on strike?

Seems there are lots redemption possibilities at a renovated Syn.

Re: “Hot off the press

Firstly...isn't the clerk and recorder an enterprise zone...that is they turn a profit for the county?

Secondly, if you've gone to register your car lately, it seems a whole lot quicker and more pleasant...not to mention getting Saturday service at Chapel Hills.

Frankly, given all the money newspapers spend to bash government, it seems only fair that government be allowed the same freedom of the press to herald it's successes on our behave.

Balink seems like a good and faithful public servant to me...and my reading of this article suggests that Pam Zubeck has found this to be true even when she didn 't set out with that in mind.

And a little sense of humor might read his wedding planning activity to be his daughter's wedding...she is mentioned in the paragraph below.
