Bill, I'm not "miffed that I wasn't invited" to the city committee meeting. I probably wouldn't have gone. But c'mon y'all-if you're going to serve as elected officials, you shouldn't go to meetings that are closed to the public and to the media. And maybe the room was too small to accomodate the public, but the city committee could easily have found a less grand and more spacious venue-try the city auditorium, for example.
And as for their goal of establishing 'ongoing, positive relationships with new mayor, council, and staff', I don't doub t it. And I also don't doubt that they have an agenda.
That's ok-almost everyone does. And that's why transparency is so important.
Re: “Tonight: The city's real elite gather to support Bach”
Yup, Steve Schuck supported me back in 1997-and I'm proud of that. Louise, TFBR-I'm ethical enough to put my name on what I write. As for the invite, I thought it was worth sharing-and I'm sure that Steve Bach is proud to claim every name on that list as a supporter. I shared the invite for fun, not as part of some sinister anti-Bach conspiracy. Guys, your ideology is showing-lighten up!
