Re: “C4C heads for final approval

We are going to need a healthcare center, with all the retirees moving here. We should also consider the sports stadium and make sure that it is multi-use: soccer, baseball and events. Who cares about showcasing the Olympic athletes and the Air Force Academy? The USOC will be up and out of here in no time, all though we have tons of visitors that come here to visit that training center, for some reason. When the military continues it's pull out of Colorado Springs, we won't have much left. How about our city's future? What are we going to be about? What is the attraction that get's people to spend their money here? The days are spent outdoors (gas and goods taxes) and the nights are spent going to Denver. Let's create a draw for Colorado Springs at all hours. Just cause half of us are in bed by 7pm, doesn't mean the rest of the town is. They are looking for something to do. Let's create some excitement, before we all end up just going to sleep, for good. How about giving a little for the future, instead of asking what is this going to do for me.

Re: “Paying for a bad idea

If Lisa was still there, she would have probably been whining on twitter or facebook for having to sit through the meeting. Maybe she would have posted something on instagram. Not sure why some sign up for City Council. Maybe looking for fame...sure the hell isn't any fortune! I'm not sure what the problem is here. Do we want our representatives sign off without reading anything, like it is done in Washington D.C.? If it takes this long to decide an issue, it takes that long. Carry it over to the next day or meeting. You are making decisions that we will have to live with for the rest of our lives and younger generations to come.

Re: “The dark lord (Doug Bruce) returneth

How about bringing to light that Doug Bruce is best friends with Bruce Nozolino. Do we have a William Ayers issue here??? Except in this case, Doug could actually make a choice to hang out with this criminal, while our president was a child and couldn't make any decisions about where he lived.

Hypocracy!!!

Re: “School reverses course: Student told to stay home after using MMJ

mark- Cheyenne kids didn't get away with Heroine use, they were busted. That's why you know about it! They probably got it from Sierra kids anyways. (See how that works to no end. It doesn't help. Keep to the subject.)

This young man, is being punished for trying to be well. If you are reading this and you have no ailments, thank your lucky stars. It is horrible to have to use some kind of medicine everyday, just to live life. It consumes you. Whether it is a pain killer, a cholesterol reducer, heart pills, blood pressure pills, anxiety or depression pills, it consumes you. This man has rights to an education and being well, is the only way that he will succeed with that education. Why make any more restrictions on him, than he already has?

There are plenty of students in the halls that are stoned from when they first got to school, left for lunch or smoking on school grounds itself. I bet plenty are using cocaine and other hardcore drugs that don't have to be lit. Let's get serious... Illegal drug use will occur as much as you try to shut it down. And illegal drugs are: any that are not prescribed to you, whether they are man made or given to us by nature or GOD.

What is sad is that this is probably all about the school and money. We'll see when they respond...
