No visit to the Springs area is complete without stopping off to see and experience the delightful shops, restaurants and lodging in Monument & Palmer Lake .... just up the hill on I-25, 10-15 minutes north of Colorado Springs! Experience the small-town, family-friendly, Colorado-style atmosphere in this Tri Lakes region. There are hiking trails, parks, lakes, shopping, dining, and more! Best of all, you'll be greeted with a genuine smile :-)

Love the area and the incredible shops and restaurants!

Two other restaurants (both on Front Street in Historic Monument) well worth mentioning are La Casa Fiesta Mexican Restaurant, which offers the best Carnitas Fajitas around! They have also mastered the Sopapilla, you can't pass it up :-) http://www.lacasafiesta.net/

The other is The Coffee Cup Cafe ~ down-home goodness for breakfast and lunch in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Try the #11 ... best biscuits & gravy I've had! And they truly are the Best Breakfast in Town! http://www.coffeecupmonument.com/
