What a great story. It is the best argument for dumping HOAs I have ever seen. HOAs are useless, toothless, worthless entities that prey on the home owners in many areas of Colorado Springs without providing any tangible benefits to the owners. Homeowners are intimidated into buying into HOAs by the developers with the tacit approval of the City to keep down the cost of subdivision development and subsequent maintenance. HOAs should be allowed to wither away and die.
