Bremer needs to go find a rock to crawl under. How he can possibly justify his actions is beyond comprehension.
It is the media's job to clarify for the public? I thought the media was to report the facts. Something the Indy has been doing better thanks to reporters like Chet Hardin.
Does Blaha, or his lawyer, seriously want media outlets fact-checking ads? WOW! Can't even begin to address how wrong that is, and just points out how Blaha is not ready to be a Representative.
This simply points out how completely ignorant Blaha is of so many things. He is so uninformed on many matters, and touts that as a badge of honor since he's the non-politician. I don't want someone representing me in Washington that has been so unengaged that he cannot get the issues right.
For the curious, here's the most recent report for Stephens. http://tracer.sos.colorado.gov/PublicSite/…
And what about Stephens' campaign contributions? Would be nice to have them for comparison.
Statistics are meant to support the point of view of those asking the questions. I don't rely on them if I can avoid it.
My opinion about sex offenders and their rehabilitation comes from speaking with professionals in the field (police and psychologists and parole officers). Without exception, those I've spoken with agree that sex offenders are not rehabilitated. They can sometimes control their urges, but sooner or later they act again upon impulses and someone gets hurt.
While it is commendable to try to make them useful citizens, it is unwise to tempt them or allow our children to be in danger of being abused or worse. WHY would any parent take that chance if they could avoid it?
Well past time to through Bremer and Roy out of the sandbox. Shame on them.
Robin Coran is the head of the elect Santorum committee locally while as an Executive Committee member she is to remain neutral until after the primary. Even Bremer's wife was there sporting a Romney button prominently on her shirt. (She's not a member of the Executive Committee but as the wife of the Chairman should remain neutral as well.) Bremer can't control his wife or his Executive Committee, apparently.
The whole thing has been stinky from the beginning. Not exactly the kind of tenure that Bremer should proudly display on his resume.
The Dems must be gleefully chuckling in their beer at the shenanigans of the local Repubs.
While I agree with rehabilitation for folks who have been in prison (unfortunately our penal system doesn't do a good job of that, it's a warehouse instead), it is my understanding that sex offenders are not often rehabilitated to a point where they can be trusted with children and often with adults as well.
Seems to me that the higher priority aught to be keeping folks safe.
