I am planning on being there to address this issue. The data related by the States that have medical marijuana regulations indicate that there is a drop in alcohol DUI, Domestic Violence, alcohol consumption, as well as a decrease in teenager’s use of marijuana. This data is reinforced by the same pattern in Colorado; local municipalities that have banned medical marijuana centers see a rise in teen use, crime, etc.
I have a 12 year old son, and being honest and truthful about marijuana is how I talk with him and he has no desire to use it as he sees it as a medicine.
I pray that someone will actually come to their senses and rely on the hard science and data instead of the personal moral judgment and ignorance.
I believe the district attorney's spokeswoman Lee Richards comment is just heartless and robotic, let alone the continued actions of DA Dan May. It is sad to see that some people in our government just fall back to the definitions of titles and laws, forgetting that good people are the ones who are suffering as a result.
"I am just following the law," as DA Dan May has stated in the past, at the expense of someones dignity, trust, family, community relationships, employment, education, and this list goes on.
I won my trial in Boulder County three years ago regarding my medical Cannabis and DA Stan Garnett changed their policies around medical Cannabis as a result. He has since been very proactive with the Cannabis dialogue between the State and Federal Governments.
Why is El Paso County filling the court rooms with medical Cannabis cases? Are they just a way to make easy money and avoid the crimes that harm adults and children. The last day of Bob's trial I was threatened with trespassing in a public court house as I entered the building, but they refused to show me the order that said this, because it does not exist. There is something SERIOUSLY amiss in Colorado Springs and he calls himself the DA.
Bob Crouse and Elisa Kappelmann have become very good friends of mine as I supported them every day in their trials and the time leading up to them. When I first heard of their stories about a year ago, I could see that they were good people and right soon after after meeting them. If I could figure this out on my own with a couple tanks of gas, why couldn't DA Dan May and all his VNI detectives?
I agree, this is attempted murder and we as patients must bring a lawsuit against these individuals charging them with attempted murder.

Dan May please feel free to contact me and we can talk about your personal and professional views about medical Cannabis. I believe that my acquittal in the 20th Judicial District of Colorado, Aug 6, 2009, and the change in policy by D.A. Stan Garnett is a reinforcement of what the people in Colorado have voted for in 2000 when Amendment 20 passed. I find it interesting that you are prosecuting people who are excellent examples of who Amendment 20 protects.
