Pam,
You could have listed the statistics for The Indy. I have always been curious how the free to read model works out in the modern world. To me, it can be the only way to compete in the internet world. The more readers you can show you have, the more advertisers you can get.
Using the Gazette model of losing subscription income so we raise our prices is the beginning of the slow spiral to oblivian. There are too many free sources of news to compete with in the information age.

Hmmm, sounds like of perfect opportunity for the citizens to come out and let the mayor know what they think about his policies and how he has be handling the office of Strong Mayor! Come out and let him see your spirit!
