Really messes with the meaning of Conservative doesn't it?
Clearly worth a listen.
So how 'bout we take it from the top...
"I have a fundamental difference in opinion than the President," said Lamborn. "He sees defense as the first thing to cut, and I think it's the last thing to cut. I'm really bothered by the fact that he only seems to be able to cut defense and he ignores the rest of the budget.["]
Anyone out there seen any credible evidence that this statement is true?
OK, I can buy the "fundamental difference in opinion" part and the "really bothered" part.
The rest of it is pure fabrication. Martha where are my hip waders? Might need a full-on wet suit.

What I believe, is that if you are going to talk about something you should search out facts. Read all that you can and start with the record. You seem to glory in insulting people. Rather than discuss real problems and seek real solutions, you change the subject. It does not "hurt my little head." It makes clear that you are frustrated and unable/unwilling to engage in a thoughtful exchange on the topic presented.
Lamborn has a similar style, rather than engage in a search for solutions he focuses on his faith. I admire his focus. I am less than pleased with his ability to represent this District (yes, it does include four counties other than El Paso).
Here's why:
He endorses a rapacious energy policy that destroys our environment (air, land and water) and seeks to move us back to 19th century, killing the goose that provides the golden egg.
His security policy is misinformed; advocating a failed and VERY expensive course that does not achieve the objectives of lasting peace and security, then declares it off limits when seeking to solve his most vocal objective -dealing with the national debt.
His jobs program - Oh that's right, he does not have one. He has recommended killing highly successful efforts to grow jobs, right here in Colorado. Just try and pay off a debt without a job.
His opposition to equal rights, particularly the rights of women and those that do not share his beliefs.
His hyperbole raises issues to panic levels with no offers of compromise or solution.
This thread is about "Defense" spending. The link I provided, speaks to the President's stated objectives. Any that you care to comment on? Was your comment "you first" an admission that you have nothing?
In the spirit of education, have a look http://www.defense.gov/news/Defense_Strate…
Dear SM art EST man,
You know precious little of my experience. If you would post anything to back up your beliefs then we might have a meaningful discussion, until then thanks for the WOW.
Re: “In endorsement, Denver Post only has eyes for Lamborn”
The Post endorsed ALL of the incumbents. It is up to each of us to make our voices heard and identify who listens to our concerns. Find out which candidate shares your hopes, dreams, priorities... or stay home.
