Re: “Tea Party vs. Occupy Wall Street

wow.... I came here to find a definitive answer to the question of the difference between the two with the presumption that both sides want the same thing. I came here for my own edification and boy did i get it. Not from the article itself, rather from the comment battle between the two sides and now that ive completely wasted my time im more on the fence than ever. I have done both, i spent my teen years in idealistic defiance of "the man" while sittin around, getting stoned and pondering the whos, whys, and whereabouts of reality, then i joined the military at 18 and started taking life more seriously, came back to civilian life and went straight to work in the factories, foundries and worksites of this great nation. I got married to a premade family and took great honor in working hard for honest pay to provide for them and felt everyone should do the same for there own . Then after my second deployment i came home to find my wife with my best friend. So i left them there together and moved in with family, for about six months untill i got on my own two feet. Thats when i took part of an "entitlement program". The gibill. I got enrolled in school and have taken out every possible school loan offered. Now im in school i have done a significant amount of research and found out about the deception and corruption of this country from its very inception. Its really hard to escape nor say that each of us is not as guilty as the next for and of this decline. I also have realized its more difficult and stressful to keep up my grades in school, than physical labor ever was working from paycheck to paycheck and in many aspects i miss it. But the disparity between the richest 1% and the laws designed to keep them there and prevent the rest of us from reaching it has grown worse than it ever was.i will admit however that though i was born to poverty i and my sibling all are about middle class and our offspring will be a little better off then we. So the system works but its very eventual and an offset can happen at anytime to chane that level..now.... it Sounds to me like the two sides (the tp's and the ows's) need to sit down together and come up with some compromise before the "powers that be" totally eradicate any potential for change...and that is one thing both sides can agree with.... something drastic needs to be done and the politicians are not doing it
