As Brian mentioned the proposed changes only affect 1.4 miles of bus route 9 & 19 that pass through a historic residential neighborhood. There are 4 lightly used bus stops on this stretch of N. Nevada. The rest of the route and stops on Nevada between UCCS and Downtown will not be affected by this change and will maintain their 15 minute service. It does a much better job of explaining the concerns of ONEN neighbors and the proposed solution to the problem.
There is also a blog with several posts that further detail the extensive process that was used to arrive at the ONEN solution: http://oldnorthend.org/transit-committee-b…

Congratulations on being one step closer to making this dream a reality! This may not be in the heart of downtown, but this could spur some great redevelopment of that area and is located right next to shooks run trail and real close to Memorial Park. The old St. Francis hospital next door was purchased by a developer 6 months ago and the lots across Pikes Peak Ave. have been vacant for many year. Let's hope this market becomes a magnet for urban redevelopment just like Pikes Place. Looking forward to biking to this great venue from my house!
Registration is still free through June 22 (http://www.eventbrite.com/event/659272903)
