This article does a poor job at telling the whole story of what is going on. One could write a book on the issues going on at USAFA, but honor is something the majority of the Wing holds near and dear. Here's the issue: Honor and making the right decision is not about filling in the right answers on a scantron. The way we're taught is by practicing it everyday. The way we'll prove we have it is by living an honorable life. To say that we're not honorable because we can't fill in a test in the middle of a full day of classes, formations, athletics, while in the midst of GR (our tests) season, is ridiculous. I challenge readers of this news source to come up to the Academy and interact with the cadets instead of solely reading this biased article.
Where is the real problem that might help you better understand the true situation? I won't elaborate (Not enough space on this forum), but look at recruitment and relate it to honor cases, disenrollment, disciplinary issues, and voluntary disenrollment. Money talks. Follow the money.
