Poor guy couldn't hang with what is done to every Cadet. Got to be tougher than that. Pity party article.
It is not about Chik-Fil-A being discriminatory against gays. The company's owner, like millions of others including me, don't want anyone's sexuality thrust into my "bubble." I don't viciously thrust my heterosexuality around, brandishing it like a saber, making it what defines me as a person. Grow up and leave it alone. Do your civil union thing but leave me out of your stupidity. I don't plan on making out with my wife in a gay, lesbian, transgendered restaurant anytime soon--not appropriate no matter how you use you God-Given plumbing.
There's obviously no ax to grind in this article--NOT! The Honor Code takes a back seat when politicians enforce politically correct edicts. In the first years after female Cadets came to the USAFA, there was an edict from the top down that THIS WOULD SUCCEED!. Now, don't get me wrong, I appreciate the notion that females are at the Academy--there is a need for female officers of character. In this beginning, there was nothing a female Cadet could not do to violate the Code. Then, when this was recognized, many Cadets, male and female took advantage. This would not have been an issue had political pronouncements been left out of the picture.
