There are plenty of reasons to criticize USAFA, but to harp on someone misspeaking is being more than simply pedantic, it is something more like a childish game of gotcha. Perhaps Gould is ignorant about Sikh's, perhaps he is not. As a member of the military I served with Sikh's and know quite a bit about their religion and culture. But Gould clearly misspoke and he has already said he would address it. I am sure he will be very careful what he says when he makes his correction.
I know that there are many people on this forum who know more about USAFA than I do, I think there are areas that USAFA and it's leadership need to improve upon. In some areas they seem to be making progress, in others it is hard to tell. I think criticism that concerns the quality of instruction is valid, as are concerns about religious tolerance. But when ever I see an article from the CSIndy it is almost singularly negative and when there are good things to say about USAFA, it seems an awkward afterthought on this forum.
