That's all fine and good for the fire and donations, but it seems that those who were out of work and in pre-evacuation or evacuated lose out again! Where is the support for those who could not work during this time? Families need to be fed and gas in the car, yet if you are not a fireman and company, you are not included in help from the donations. So what is 10 days without work? It depends on the person, but those who are living from week to week, it means a lot.
What happened to all the donations coming in from all over the country? We haven't seen any help.
What will happen with those people who were not able to go to work for that period of time when the roads were closed, and/or were under pre-evacuation or evacuation notices and could not go to work?
Are there funds available for them, to replace their money that was lost?
Re: “Some freebees for fire victims still awaiting a home”
My family could not go to work for at least ten days because of the fires. This added and still adds large hardship on us because once we were behind because of no work, we could not get ahead. Do you still have help for those kind of victims?
