Define "Rich"?? Owners in the burned out mountain Shadows homes are made up of hard working, educated, usually two-income, families. I'm a Senior Single Woman and I almost bought in Mountain Shadows; that house burned to the ground; the irony. I have been very fortunate to have learned a strong work ethic early in life, and walked in back doors of hotels and restaurants to sell my product, for 27 years, single-handedly. Am I rich? In spirit, generosity and friendships.

Re: “Are owners of the burned homes 'rich'?”
The nice thing about being a home-owner, is one normally carries a good insurance policy. though I live just 2 blocks away from the fire lines, both north and south, my Insurance Adjustors have been just fantastic in getting their adjustors to victims of damage, in the blink of an eye! (Smoke, Soot Damage, for me). American Family flew in an "Army" of Adjustors! Personally, I've been pleasantly shocked! Now, if the Service Companies just wouldn't gouge all of us who need their help, they can add their names to the list of this community coming together. Serv Pro, and the like.
