For the money, probably the best sit-down breakfast place over here on the East side. Only open for breakfast and lunch, though. The Cimarron Hills neighborhood definitely doesn't have a better breakfast place in the area!
Interestingly enough, these chains seemed to exist in AZ as "The Good Egg" - the restaurants were almost identical. So, if you're ever eaten at "The Good Egg" chain, it's basically the same thing.
Expect standard breakfast food, prepared well - omelets, eggs, bacon; corned-beef hash - that type of thing. Decent (if weak) coffee. I see a wide range of people here from families with hordes of small children to seniors enjoying the chance to sip coffee and read the newspaper. The wait staff is very friendly and seem to go out of their way to accommodate everyone; going the extra mile to bring crying children crayons and coloring sheets, etc.
Nice little place!

I think it boils down to this - landlords have a right to set what limitations they wish to set on properties they rent to lessees. Lessees have a right to shop around and find a landlord they wish to rent from.
Some people will want smoke-free apartment buildings, so offer them. Some people will want apartment buildings they can smoke in, so offer them. It's like the CoC in an HOA - if you don't like the CoC, don't sign it and find a different HOA or a neighborhood without one.
That's too bad. Shuga's is a nice little cafe.
I think the security company would want to refund the money as a public relations move if for no other reason. There was clearly money being paid to a security company that was not providing the service paid for. I would also give them something in compensation as an apology simply because I believe it's good business.
My own experiences with my home alarm system is that it works too well. Cats are not supposed to be able to trip motion sensors, but they do. And the police will come if your permits are in order... quickly in my neighborhood at least.
@TT - My Scandinavian friends and family report being both happy and peaceful, that's all the anecdotal evidence I have to offer. It's rather difficult to get inside another man's head and tell how "at peace' he is; all we have to go by is behavior and what he tells us.
I vote. Every election. That, and the political action groups I'm involved in, give me some small feeling of doing my part. El Paso county isn't turning blue anytime soon but it's nice to see a spotlight in those small places where a difference can be made.
HD 18, eh? ;)
@TT - I think you may be slightly mistaken about "Norse" countries; and your opinion on the happiness of young people is just that. For all the exploitation going on there, the Scandanavian countries commonly report having the highest quality of life and human happiness in the world. All without religion.
And sex for personal gratification? You should try it; it's amazing.
@tejon - None of the countries you mentioned are the countries discussed in my links; the ones discussed were Scandanavian, mainly. In Sweden, for example, about 80% of the population is atheist and religious folk are considered a protected minority. (Protected from hate speech, etc.) Look at Swedish teen pregnancy rates vs US ones. That pretty much cuts to the heart of your argument that kids need to be reading the Bible in order to avoid getting pregnant. I'm not trying to be mean; I'm just pointing out a very obvious fact.
I do appreciate the fact that you seem to be able to have a mostly civil discussion. Maybe you're the saner half of smartestman and you're both sockpuppet accounts; I don't know but I think I prefer your version of conservative internet comments-section guy. I DO notice that you both post suspiciously close together at the same times on the same articles... hmm...

I think from this point on I'm just going to let smartestman rant and not respond to him. It's way more amusing that way and I don't have the interest in him that he seems to have in me.
Absolutely, pointing out what works well elsewhere means you are an American-hating communist. :)
Again, I let the written record stand.
