Maybe the city attorney is doing more homework. There will be a lawsuit if passed as written!

I hope a ballot initiative can be drafted that supports local control over many issues. For example, we need to look at Food Sovereignty ordinances as well. A broad local control measure would be better than a one-issue campaign, IMHO.

I was driven off the Gazette business desk 10 years after asking too many questions about the leadership of the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce. The president at the time called my editor routinely to complain that I wasn't sympathetic enough. The Gazette prefers cheerleaders to reporters - got to keep those advertisers happy!
